Who are we...
Serving is a Bristol-based queer run supper club raising money for gender-affirming care.
Since being founded in February 2023...
we've hosted...
we've raised...
Why we are Serving...
Trans healthcare in the UK is functionally non-existent.
Serving hopes to:
1️⃣ Contribute directly towards gender-affirming care
We hope the funds we raise can help with the increased financial strain imposed on many trans people
2️⃣ Provide a morale boost along the fundraising journey
We know that many people are trying to raise much more than we can provide.
We hope that our contribution can help keep them motivated as they invest the time and energy into hitting their funding goals
3️⃣ Bring the discussion around trans healthcare to the dinner table
We believe in the power of community and food as way to bring people together.
We hope that our supper clubs serve as a way to bring attention to conversations surrounding trans healthcare
How to Support Serving
Our next club is A Middle Eastern Menu
Hosted at Centrale by Bianchis, we'll be serving a 3-course Middle Eastern meal suitable for non-vegetarians, vegetarians and vegans - and we'd love for you to join us!
We want to give a massive thank you to The Bianchi's group, who have kindly donated their Centrale event space for the evening. We really appreciate their support and can’t wait to welcome you into this beautiful space. Hope to see you there!

Upcoming Supper Clubs
Serving: A Basque Menu
Hosted at Centrale by Bianchis on the 19th of October, we'll be serving a 3-course Basque menu suitable for non-vegetarians and vegetarians (gf options available) - and we'd love for you to join us!

Robbie (he/him)
Founder & Chef
Robbie started Serving a few years ago as a way to show up for the trans people in his community An enthusiastic-amateur turned almost-professional, he learnt everything from blogs, books, and YouTube. He loves tacos and his current fixation is ice cream.
Mel (they/them)
Chef
Mel is a chef working in community food justice across Bristol. They can occasionally be found serving Chinese comfort food with their street food company Mei Mei's street cart, or attempting to grow stubborn Southeast Asian brassicas with their queer, multicultural growing group: Chinese Cabbage Club. They believe nutritious, tasty, affordable food should be accessible to all, and dream of opening a surplus community cafe
Jardine (they/she)
Marketing
Jardine isn’t a chef, but they can cook the same four comfort meals on repeat. They have been working in marketing for social-focused communities on and off for nearly a decade, and are a strong believer in Serving’s mission, which brings two of their greatest passions together - advocating for trans rights and eating food much better than they can cook.
